If you come via M6 from Dublin or Galway leave the motorway at Exit 14 (signposted Ballinasloe/Shannonbridge), then, at the roundabouts follow the signs for Shannonbridge ( R 357). Enter the R 357, drive straight ahead and then, in about 8 – 10 minutes, on a bend to the left you’ll see this signpost “Ard Ciaran Prayer Centre”. The entrance to the monastery is on your right.
Travelling time: around 2 hours.
DO NOT rely on your GPS, it’ll take you to the back entrance, which we do not recommend. Thank you.
From one of these three locations: Dublin airport or central bus station in Dublin (Busaras) or Heuston Station, you can take the bus towards Galway and stop in Ballinasloe – Dunlo Street. We can arrange to pick you up from there.

From Heuston Station in Dublin you can take the train towards Galway and stop at Ballinasloe train station. We can arrange to pick you up from there.
